Giù le mani dalle donne, da tutte le donne, sì perché Beatrice Venezi è prima di tutto una donna, e poi una direttrice d’orchestra. Vedere che nessuno prende parola su quello che le stanno facendo, è scioccante, una vera e propria caccia alle streghe. E mi fa molto pensare, perché spesso e volentieri si va in piazza per gente e situazioni che non conosciamo, perché distanti migliaia di chilometri da noi; ma non riusciamo ad alzare un dito, figuriamoci la voce, per difendere una persona che sta accanto a noi.
Beatrice Venezi è una donna che ha dovuto lavorare il triplo, perché ha avuto l’ardire di intraprendere una carriera prettamente maschile, e se ci aggiungiamo lo scotto che si subisce quando si brilla, posso soltanto che essere solidale con lei.
Non solo quello che le stanno facendo è ignobile, ma chiarisce molto bene come il mondo dell’arte e della cultura sia in mano al potere, e che gli artisti non siano liberi, e questo lo trovo molto grave, perché un’artista deve avere due principi: talento e libertà. Se ne manca uno abbiamo un problema più o meno grave. Artisti senza talento ci possono rovinare una serata, ma quelli senza libertà ci rovinano una società.
Questa contestazione ad una professionista internazionale come Beatrice Venezi ci dimostra la triste lotta del potere politico, di come per essere artisti affermati in Italia bisogna essere di un solo colore politico, ma artista con comunista ci fa solo rima.
E poiché il Blog Baxter non c’ha padroni, oggi dichiara la sua solidarietà a Beatrice Venezi, perché donna! Il Blog Baxter starà sempre dalla parte delle donne oltraggiate, nonostante la loro classe sociale, religione, colore ed orientamento politico.

Seeing that no one is speaking out about what they are doing to her is shocking, a real witch hunt. Beatrice Venezi is a woman who has had to work three times as hard because she had the audacity to pursue a typically male career, and if we add to that the price you pay for excelling, I can only sympathise with her.
Not only is what they are doing to her despicable, but it also makes it very clear how the world of art and culture is in the hands of power, and that artists are not free. I find this very serious, because an artist must have two principles: talent and freedom. If one is missing, we have a problem of varying degrees of seriousness. Artists without talent can ruin an evening, but those without freedom ruin a society.
This protest against an international professional such as Beatrice Venezi shows us the sad struggle for political power, how to be an established artist in Italy you have to be of a certain political colour, but artist and communist only rhyme.
