Passo e chiudo.

THE BAXTER BLOG’S CREATIVE PROCESS: THREE MONTHS OF NEW DEVELOPMENTS

Today’s article is dedicated to the creative process behind the Baxter Blog, and we’re delighted to tell you that the editorial strategy we adopted three months ago has paid off. Now, don’t get too excited – we haven’t gone viral, and our growth is organic, in line with our budget, which is zero! But with what we’ve invested, our visual brand has improved significantly and views have risen sharply. And given how saturated the world of content creators is and how jaded the social media audience has become, we can’t complain.

As we’ve written in previous articles, the growth of a brand—or anything else, even just a vegetable patch at home—takes time.

Something we’re no longer used to: waiting for the process to take its course.

It’s a very bizarre moment in history, where it seems that one part of society has already won and that things are going brilliantly, whilst the other part is doomed to failure. But that’s not the case; it’s just a trick. Even the world’s number one companies had a rough start – look at Apple, Airbnb, Dyson, Starbucks, and Walt Disney.

In Italy, yes, even our beautiful country has companies and entrepreneurs to be proud of, who started from scratch, and sometimes even from -0. Leonardo Del Vecchio, Pietro Ferrero, Pietro Barilla – all of them built companies from scratch, weathering tough years where the market fluctuated between highs and lows, and for many years everything was done in silence, without the public recognition of the company we know today. And many of them continued to live quietly, without ostentation despite being great entrepreneurs, without gossip, just work and vision for their company – and by ‘their company’ we also mean their employees.

The common denominator was their great dedication to work, but also the economic crises that have cyclically occurred over the years, and which we are still experiencing today.

After all, as they say, there is nothing new under the sun

And so the Baxter blog has been going for seven months now; I’m certainly not thinking of giving up, whether people like it or not. Obviously, don’t think I’m being supported in any way, neither financially nor emotionally; on the contrary, if anyone says a word, it’s to shut down the Baxter blog and get back on board – that’s where you made money, and I’d add, where I lost my health. But anyway, to those who say this to me, what does it matter how I’m doing?

And this is another thing I’d like us to reflect on. Is it really possible that a human being and their life are only worth something if they’re making money? I’ve been experiencing this first-hand for a few years now. I’m only ‘okay’ in the eyes of others if I’m earning money. Perhaps only one person in my circle asks how I’m doing; the only question everyone else asks is: ‘whether I’ve found a job, or if I’m working’. What a load of rubbish!

A world like this disgusts me, because it’s a society of people with small minds and hearts, who know nothing about life and its rhythms, yet feel entitled to have their say.

I don’t know if I’ll win this Baxter Blog challenge, but I’m sure even the self-righteous don’t have the answer, so they can go to hell. All I know about this time is that even if I’m not earning €3,000 a month like I was a year ago, my life has improved, I’ve grown, and I have a clear vision of who I am and where I want to go. And that life goes on despite the failures and the too many long-term projects, and that, thank God, a permanent job isn’t one of my goals; it never has been and never will be. Over and out.
