SINERGIA TRA DONNE: IL CIRCOLO VIRTUOSO DELLA MODA
Nell’articolo di oggi vi racconto la bellissima esperienza che ho vissuto insieme a due splendide donne: Sara di Artesaniakimi e Ornella di Stregatta Fashion. Venerdì scorso c’è stata la sfilata del loro brand insieme a quello di tante altre meravigliose artigiane.
Tutte queste donne hanno in comune la missione di riportare armonia nel mondo della moda, che da tempo è sotto accusa per i ritmi frenetici di produzione, senza più il rispetto delle persone e dell’ambiente. Infatti nel negozio di Stregatta potete trovare abiti unici, di differenti stiliste, che vanno tutte nella stessa direzione: rispetto per la professione sartoriale, rispetto per la cliente scegliendo tessuti naturali, e rispetto per il lavoro rivolgendosi a sartorie sociali, dove vengono aiutate donne che sono scappate da brutte situazioni familiari o dalla guerra.
Ho conosciuto Sara di Artesaniakimi ad Ottobre 2025 durante un corso di formazione di WordPress, e quando si presentò e raccontò il suo lavoro, rimasi subito incantata. C’era tanta passione e vita dietro quel raccontarsi. La vita poi ha fatto il resto, infatti questa donna è stata una persona fondamentale per il Blog Baxter, il perché lo potete leggere in questo articolo.
E quando c’è stata l’occasione di poter collaborare con Sara non ci ho pensato un attimo, accettare il suo invito a sfilare per quell’evento mi portò a conoscere Oriana di Stregatta, una donna speciale, che crede profondamente nel progetto della moda virtuosa, dove nel suo negozio di via Sirte prende vita. Quando ho conosciuto Oriana sono stata inondata dalla sua grinta, è una donna solare che non ha timore di confrontarsi con la realtà del suo business e che non usa mezzi termini per denunciare la fast fashion, cercando di risvegliare la coscienza comune su questo argomento. Insomma, che ve lo dico a fare, mi sono sentita a casa, alla fine facciamo la stessa cosa, ma in contesti differenti.
Ed un’altra delle cose che mi ha colpito profondamente è stata l’occasione di questa sfilata: era la festa che il quartiere aveva organizzato per Santa Maria Goretti, la piccola grande Santa che abbiamo a Nettuno, alla quale sono particolarmente devota. Io ci ho visto un bel segno.
Così il 03 luglio in un caldo pomeriggio romano, una quarantina di donne tra modelle clienti/amiche e addette ai lavori, si sono riunite al negozio di Stregatta e tra una seduta di Make-up professionale e un servizio fotografico, alle 19 tutte pronte e bellissime ci siamo incamminate presso il luogo dei festeggiamenti ed abbiamo sfilato con i meravigliosi abiti.
Qui al Blog Baxter questa cosa si chiama sinergia tra donne, che non è per niente scontata, ma quando accade è come una magia.
Queste tipo di iniziative che io definisco: Donne per le donne, sono importanti e fanno bene ad ognuna di noi. Non ci fanno sentire sole, anzi ci dimostrano che se vogliamo, possiamo, tutte insieme certamente.
Una serata come questa mi ha insegnato anche a godermi il momento bello che può passare la vita, non crediate che non mi sia dovuta convincere che io meritavo di essere lì. Ed oltretutto l’ho fatto anche per uscire dalla confort zone, non crediate che quei quaranta secondi su quella passerella mi abbiamo esaltata, anzi li ho usati per mettermi in gioco e cercare di uscire da alcune mie insicurezze. Che se è vero che voglio diventare una scrittrice affermata, avere gli occhi addosso del pubblico, sarà una cosa alla quale dovrò fare l’abitudine.
SYNERGY BETWEEN WOMEN: THE VIRTUOUS CIRCLE OF FASHION
In today’s article, I’ll tell you about the wonderful experience I had alongside two amazing women: Sara from Artesaniakimi and Ornella from Stregatta Fashion. Last Friday, their brand held a fashion show alongside those of many other marvellous craftswomen.
All these women share a common mission: to restore harmony to the world of fashion, which has long been criticised for its frenetic pace of production, with no regard for people or the environment. In fact, in the Stregatta shop you can find unique garments by different designers, all of whom share the same ethos: respect for the art of dressmaking, respect for the customer through the choice of natural fabrics, and respect for labour by working with social tailoring workshops, where women who have escaped from difficult family situations or war are given support.
I met Sara from Artesaniakimi in October 2025 during a WordPress training course, and when she introduced herself and spoke about her work, I was immediately captivated. There was so much passion and life behind her story. Life then took its course; in fact, this woman has been a key figure for the Baxter Blog – you can read why in this article.
And when the opportunity arose to collaborate with Sara, I didn’t hesitate for a moment; accepting her invitation to model at that event led me to meet Oriana from Stregatta, a special woman who believes deeply in the ‘virtuous fashion’ project, which comes to life in her shop on Via Sirte. When I met Oriana, I was struck by her determination; she’s a radiant woman who isn’t afraid to face the realities of her business and who doesn’t mince her words when denouncing fast fashion, striving to raise public awareness on this issue. In short, need I say more? I felt right at home – after all, we’re doing the same thing, just in different contexts.
And another thing that struck me deeply was the occasion for this fashion show: it was the festival the neighbourhood had organised for Saint Maria Goretti, the little great saint we have in Nettuno, to whom I am particularly devoted. I saw it as a lovely sign.
So, on 3 July, on a hot Roman afternoon, around forty women – including friends like models, and industry professionals – gathered at the Stregatta shop. Between a professional make-up session and a photo shoot, by 7 pm we were all ready and looking stunning; we set off for the venue of the celebrations and paraded in the marvellous dresses.
Here on the Baxter Blog, we call this ‘synergy between women’ – something that’s by no means a given, but when it happens, it’s like magic.
These kinds of initiatives, which I call ‘Women for Women’, are important and do us all a world of good. They don’t make us feel alone; on the contrary, they show us that if we want to, we can – certainly when we’re all together.
An evening like this has also taught me to enjoy the beautiful moments that life can offer; don’t think I didn’t have to convince myself that I deserved to be there. And what’s more, I did it partly to push myself out of my comfort zone; don’t think that those forty seconds on the catwalk made me feel elated – on the contrary, I used them to challenge myself and try to overcome some of my insecurities. Because if it’s true that I want to become an established writer, having the public’s eyes on me will be something I’ll have to get used to.
